CHAPTER 11: the memory

“So that was real?” I was standing in Sky’s office. Of course almost everything was budder. He was pacing around his office still wearing his PJ’s. it was still dark outside and the mobs were being, well you know, mobs.
“As real as my foot.”
“Can I see the badge again?”
“Sure.” I handed the badge to him.
“Seems legit.” He gave it back.
“That means I have to leave.” I sighed. I finally found a place I can call home and now I have to leave it. Great.
(Time skip cause I’m good like that)
Ty woke up an hour before I left. He still had a huge headache and he couldn’t walk without getten dizzy. So I went to see him before I left.
“Whao. That’s some bruise.”
“Blame the squids” Ty showed me where he got hit. His whole forehead was black and blue.
“You’re lucky there aren’t any gashes or cuts.”
“I’m even more lucky I didn’t crack my skull.”
“No kiddin’.”
“So how exactly did you get your fire?”
“Well…”

(Flash back)

“You’re running out of time my dear”
I could still hear their cries of pain. I thought of the positive and negatives. The positives outweigh the negatives.
“Well?”
“I’ll do it!”
“Sign in blood” I cut my pad open with my claw and wiped the blood on the signature line.
“There” the parchment disappeared and he walked up to me. “This will hurt” he placed his left hand over my heart. I started to shake violently as he pulled my soul out of my heart. I looked at my soul before it was sucked into a jar. The jar disappeared as quickly as it came.
“Now that I have your soul I can easily resurrect you if you die too early. That was the painful part. Now for the other painful part.”
‘Oh god.’ another jar appeared in his hands and he opened it. A small golden fire spirit that looks like a small cat with phoenix wings. It flew around me once and landed on my chest above my heart. I growled as it pushed its way into my heart to replace the spot my soul used to be. I fell and landed on my back and started to shake again. And then I began to wake up.
(End of flash back)
“…let’s just say it hurt really badly.”
He just shrugged. We turned our heads to the door when we heard knocking.
“Come in” It was sky.
“Fieldmouse, the sun is up. It’s time for you to go” ‘right’
“Bye Fieldmouse.”
I gave Deadlox a hug. “Thank you for taking me in Deadlox. I means the world to me.”
He hugged me back. “It would have been stupid not to.” I let go and headed out the door waving good-bye.
(Time skip 10 mins)
I was equipped with a diamond sword, two quivers full of arrows and a bow. Earlier that morning, Mizo braided my hair to keep it from getting in the way. Sky had given me a black cloak to wear to hide my features from hunters. He said they’ll take on any hybrid. Jason gave me some beef and raw fish for food because he said he didn’t want me eating any pigs. Mitch and Jerome gave me a satchel to put the food in and Seto gave me a few potions of swiftness. As for Antvenom, he had already left for home.
“Thanks for everything guys, I’m gonna miss you.” I gave then all a last hug before I headed out of the gates with my headphones on and the music turned up. I put on the hood of the cloak once I was outside the gates as I followed the map toward the portal.
